What's Scroll?

[#Scroll](https://twitter.com/hashtag/Scroll?src=hashtag_click) is a new Layer-2 solution aiming at providing unlimited scalability, lightning-fast confirmation latency, full decentralization, and trustless privacy. It does so by building upon zk-Rollup and high-performance off-chain distributed systems.

Scroll proposes a new hierarchical zero-knowledge proof system architecture, a new interaction model for DApps on L2, and a new L2 mining mechanism Scroll solutions provide the best user experience in the future, including both the lowest fees and the fastest transaction speed

How is Scroll different from the other Layer 2s?

Unlike other Layer 2s, Scroll works directly on Layer 1 and allows complete composability with Ethereum dApps and between Layer 2s. Scroll also takes a new approach to generate zk-proofs off-chain using GPU power.
