Dali City, the capital of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture[1], is located in the west of Yunnan Province, the Erhai Plain on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the foot of Cangshan Mountain, and the shore of Erhai Lake. It was the capital of the ancient Nanzhao and Dali countries. Political, economic and cultural center for more than 500 years.
