Rather than competing to become the dominant chain, they focus on connecting existing networks and simplifying the movement of assets between them. History shows that mainstream adoption rarely comes from exposing users to more technical details. The internet succeeded because users didn't need to understand networking protocols. Digital payments scaled because consumers didn't need to understand banking rails. The most successful technologies are often the ones that hide complexity behind a simple experience.

Crypto may follow the same path.

In the future, users may no longer think about which chain they're on, which bridge they're using, or how liquidity is routed. They'll simply state the outcome they want, and the infrastructure will handle execution in the background.

The projects that thrive in the next phase of crypto may not be the ones with the highest TPS or the most blockspace. They may be the ones that make the underlying complexity invisible while preserving the openness and decentralization that make blockchain technology valuable.

The challenge isn't building more infrastructure. The challenge is making that infrastructure disappear from the user's perspective.
