The world is becoming a dollar-centered world. China – Purchases 90% of Iranian crude oil without using dollars. Uses CIPS and yuan for oil transactions. Russia – Most of its trade with China is now conducted in yuan and rubles. Dollar reserves are almost depleted. Saudi Arabia – Accepts yuan for some of its oil transactions with China. Iran – Uses cryptocurrency and Bitcoin mining to circumvent SWIFT and sanctions. India – Purchases Russian crude oil with rupees, not dollars. Brazil – Conducts trade with China in yuan, not dollars. United Arab Emirates – Begins piloting a new payment system that does not use SWIFT. Iraq – Enables RMB-denominated payments for imports from China. South Africa – Developing a BRICS payment system to reduce its reliance on the dollar. Malaysia – Supports the establishment of the Asian Fund to reduce its reliance on the dollar. Azerbaijan – Expands RMB-denominated trade with China. Kazakhstan – Expands RMB-denominated trade with China. BRICS – Currently has 10 member countries. The economic size of member countries is rapidly approaching that of the United States. IMF Data – The dollar currently accounts for 56.9% of global currency reserves. This is up from 71% in 2000. Gold – $5,114 per ounce. Central banks are buying record amounts of gold. This is not mere theory. Countries are restructuring their institutions and are currently in a transitional period. And a war with Iran could prompt similar actions from many other countries.
