BRUTALLY BASED DOGE, an onchain visual exploration by Adrià Masnou Hi everyone! For those of you that don't know me yet, I'm @0xadriamasnou (Or for those of you Farcasters ). I'm a cryptonative artist and photographer passionate for internet culture since I was a kid, that later became fascinated by its on-chain natural continuation. So far I minted three NFT collections, the first two on Ethereum and the last one on Base, and I'm thankful to have legendary collectors like Path, CL207, Anton Marrast, Jesse Pollak, and others that believe in my art. With this series I aimed to achieve a few things: 1) First and foremost, support the work of the OwnTheDoge - $DOG community. I'm fully aligned with the memetic vision, and I truly consider the project both technically groundbreaking and incredibly culturally relevant. On top of that, I appreciate Path a lot and am convinced that he's an absolute omegabrain on top of being a great person and a true patron of the arts and believer in the NFT space as a whole. What can't be denied is that ¡EVERYONE WILL OWN THE DOGE! Finally, I think that betting on Base is the right thing to do at the moment, and launching this campaign is a phenomenal (and v. generous tbqh) way to bootstrap a strong, self-sufficient community there. 2) I aim to push the boundaries of what is possible within the limits of this contest, both conceptually an technically (Via Titles). Most of the works I've seen conceived and displayed so far are pretty straightforward derivatives of the Doge we all know and love, which is the point of this challenge, and which I love... ...BUT, I think that fine art has a place here, and it has not yet been explored. That's why I want to get to the last and main objective: 3) Minting a fine art collection that pays homage to Doge in a more subtle but aesthetically cohesive way and elevate the artistic relevance of doge. Make something that you would honestly like framed in your wall and that wouldn't lead you to inevitable divorce. I wanted to include my personal recurrent motif of brutalist architecture to the mix, I'm sure my collectors will recognize my signature style. I'm proud to say that, after thousands of iterations, I found myself capable to create a cohesive, distinct, personal, and imo beautiful collection. You will appreciate imperfections characteristic of the still early AI era we're in, that I have let blossom instead of correcting, since I believe them to be a signature of the moment we're living. It's a work on lines, color, perspective, and onchain culture. An ode to Doge.
