# BazAR on AO

The [AO testnet](https://x.com/aoTheComputer/status/1762545634035290465) went live in February, and we couldn't wait to integrate our projects into the hyper-parallel computer and its growing community. After months of building, we are excited to announce the launch of **BazAR on AO**.

### What's New?

1.  [**UCM**](https://x.com/rakis_me/status/1686833028432277504) **runs on AO**: Transactions are fast and can run in parallel, with data still fully stored on Arweave.
    
2.  **BazAR profile agent**: BazAR profiles are now more than just an Arweave wallet. Users have a smart agent process running on AO that serves as their profile.
    
3.  **Transact with wAR**: Transacting in Wrapped AR offers an easy solution for the Arweave and AO community to collect and trade on BazAR. AR can be bridged to wAR with [AOX](http://), and AO tokens can be swapped for wAR with [ArSwap](https://arswap.org/).
    

### Permaweb 1.0

This launch of AO BazAR aligns with the release of the Permaweb 1.0 video (linked below). Key updates in the ecosystem include:

*   **Forward Research acquired** [**Odysee**](https://odysee.com/): This acquisition will bring over 7 million users to Arweave.
    
*   [**AgentFi**](https://x.com/aoTheComputer/status/1775275941935378909) **is here**: Autonomous trading and financial tools are being built on AO.
    
*   **Get funded to build on AO**: $35 million in funding is available through [AO Ventures](https://www.aoventures.io/).
    

With the incoming influx of users, BazAR plays a key role in providing a trustless and open marketplace for trading content on the permaweb. The emergence of AgentFi that can be incorporated into BazAR profiles will also change how users transact on the permaweb.

BazAR is still in its "early" release, so expect new features and updates to be shipped soon.
