**Delicate Paper Flower**

  

I turned my anger inward

held a blade made of blame

and thought pain was proof I existed

then the noise finally paused. . .

I saw the blade wasn’t hunger, it was hurt

I wasn’t trying to disappear

I was trying to be seen
