# Bitcoin developer mailing list moved to Google Groups

The Bitcoin developer mailing list has been moved from the original [Sourceforge.net](http://Sourceforge.net) to Google Groups. The move is aimed at improving the accessibility and backup capabilities of the mailing list. Now users can view archived messages online without a Google account, and the mailing list is also backed up externally. The administrators of the mailing list encourage existing subscribers to take action as soon as possible, as starting in February 2024, the old mailing list will no longer accept mail.
