# Layer 1 public chain Minima node operation incentive tutorial

Minima is a Layer 1 public chain based on an improved version of the POW consensus mechanism that enables nodes to operate on the cell phone and IoT device side, aiming to achieve a fully decentralized peer-to-peer network.

The project was created at the end of 2018 and is expected to go live in the third quarter of this year with a TGE for the main network and tokens. minima closed a Series A round of funding totaling $6.5 million in October 2021 with investors including GSR, DEX Ventures, AGE Crypto, SMO Capital, Vinny Lingham and others.

Minima has launched an incentive program that rewards nodes with Minima tokens for operating the network, and nodes are rewarded with one Minima token per day while connected：

1.Register an account through the link:

Enter cell phone number, get verification code, enter email, set password and click Register to register an account.

2.Download the ADK for Android phones (IOS is not supported at the moment):

3.Open the Minima mobile app, select Incentive Program and click on Incentive Program Website.

4.After logging into the system, copy the Incentive ID, paste it into the corresponding location of the APP, and click Update.

5.Click Node Status, 3 green dots will appear to indicate successful node setup, and you will be able to get rewards every day.

Note: The node is running unstable, there will be a red dot not connected. Close the application, re-operation of the above steps, Incentive Program Website log out and re-login, Incentive ID delete and re-enter to save, usually can be solved.
