**ServerWorks Corporation** was an American [fabless semiconductor company](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabless_semiconductor_company) based in [Santa Clara, California](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Clara,_California), that manufactured [chipsets](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chipset) for [server](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Server_\(computing\)) computers and [workstations](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workstation) running [IA-32](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IA-32) microprocessors. Founded as **Reliance Computer Corporation** in 1994, it filed its [initial public offering](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initial_public_offering) in the beginning of 2000 and was acquired by [Broadcom](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcom_Corporation) for nearly [US$](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US$)1 billion.
