### GM Frens I’v decided to start blogging as a way to help others and also to help myself by looking inward. But the solution of my quest is not Past, it is Future and “The Future is Now”

How To Publish on Mirror
------------------------

### Step 1.

First things first, head on over to [mirror.xyz](https://mirror.xyz) and connect your wallet using the button in the top-right corner. This is necessary in order to use any of the web3 tools on the site.

### Step 2.

If you're new to Mirror, make sure to visit the Settings tab in the left toolbar to personalize your profile. You can add a profile picture, bio, and choose a color theme and display name that represents you.

### Step 3.

Once your profile is set up, go back to the Entries tab and click "Create Your First Entry." This will take you to the writing page, where you can start drafting your article using the text editor. If you need some inspiration, Then stop writing or its 2023 just search

### Step 4.

While writing your article, you'll also have access to web3 tools like Crowdfund, Edition, Auction, Split, and NFT Preview. These allow you to monetize your work and incorporate other NFTs, but feel free to leave them for now if you're just getting started.

### Step 5.

Once you've finished writing your article, click the gear icon in the top-right corner to access your article settings. Here, you can upload a header image (3000x1500 pixels) and add a meta title and excerpt. The header image will also be used as the image for your Writing NFT when it's minted. Don't forget to check the meta preview at the bottom to see how your article will look on Mirror, search engines, 1and social media platforms. If you're not quite ready to publish, you can always save your article as a draft by clicking "Save Draft" at the top.

### Step 6.

Before you mint your article as an NFT, it's important to double-check everything and make sure you're happy with it. Remember, this article will be forever associated with your wallet address, even if you sell it in the future. So take the time to create an original, high-quality piece that you're proud to be associated with.

### Step 7

If everything looks good, it's time to hit publish! Just click the "Publish" button and make sure to toggle on the NFT checkbox.

### Step 8

In order to publish your article, you'll need to switch to Optimism, which is an Ethereum L2 network. This makes Writing NFTs free to create, cheap to collect, and gives your articles visibility across multiple Mirror pages such as the Collection page and Leaderboard. If you haven't already added Optimism to your **MetaMask**, you can open your **MetaMask** and click on the network dropdown. Enter the following network details into their respective fields:

*   Network name: Optimism

*   New RPC URL: [https://mainnet.optimism.io](https://mainnet.optimism.io/)

*   hain Id: 10

*   Currency Symbol: ETH

*   Block Explorer URL: [https://optimistic.etherscan.io](https://optimistic.etherscan.io/)

Click "Save" and you'll be automatically connected to Optimism. Alternatively, you can search for the network through [Chainlist](https://chainlist.org) to avoid adding it manually to your wallet.

### Step 9:

Now it's time to set the price and supply for your Writing NFT. Mirror recommends setting an accessible price (less than 0.01 ETH, currently less than $20 USD) and a sizable supply (more than 100 units) so that many people will be able to collect your Writing NFT. Keep in mind that after publishing your entry, you'll be able to edit the content but not the price and supply values that you've set. Once you've decided on the right values, confirm them and click "Publish."

Congratulations! This transaction will take a few minutes to confirm, but once it's done, the NFT will exist on [arweave](https://arweave.org) until someone collects it. At that point, it becomes an ERC721 NFT on Optimism. To view your Writing NFT, you can head over to an Optimism-based NFT marketplace like Quixotic. Keep in mind that the NFT will not show up in the marketplace or on anyone's wallet until at least one of your Writing NFTs has been collected.

That's it! You're now a published writer on Mirror. If you're interested in exploring the world of NFTs further, check out our other guides on minting an NFT on Zora or joining a party on [**PartyBid**](https://partybid.app). Happy writing!
