That red hat. Once I saw a William Eggleston show at the LACMA and the only thing I kept thinking was this was the most perfect blacks I’ve ever seen in my life. I remember reading something somewhere about how they did the prints for the show, but I don’t care. I think that’s how I feel about the color in this film. And that’s the power of a really well executed palette.
