# The difference is just that...

Here is the quickest way to get you up to speed:

*   **_ABSTRAVERSE_** is a 1000 piece cryptoart collection of one of one pieces
    
*   **_AV CLUB_** is the protocol being scaled on top of it
    
    *   owning an **_ABSTRAVERSE_** piece grants your membership to **_AV CLUB_**
        

The v1 collection of Abstraverse was done on the OpenSea shared contract in the beginning of 2021. The first two pieces were minted on the Foundation shared contract under the creator of AV’s ([LGHT](https://twitter.com/0xlght)) personal foundation page, which can be seen [here](https://foundation.app/collection/foundation?creator=0x869c9009A0d8279B63D83040a1aCC96a6Ad8Bf89&sortOrder=DEFAULT).

This means many things, but a tldr is this:

*   globally organize and scale the AV Club protocol
    
*   assist in the development of the cryptoart industry
    
*   network and collaborate with DAOs, individual creators, & other protocols in the digital asset economy
    

How you fit in:

_Collect art._

At the nearer end of this budding new spectrum, this can be as simple as you collecting one of the 1000 pieces and decorating your wallet, walls, displays, etc. On the furthest end this can look like you becoming an integral member of AV Club infrastructure and leading the charge with us as we bring in a new digital renaissance.

_We are so early._

They’ve made it cliche already, but it still remains true. This is a long journey. Almost two years of daily work has been done and we are only at 123/1000 pieces minted and only 3 official team members. The people who read that statement as _opportunity_ are the ones who should keep an eye on us and come ask their questions.

_Fine art is the new punk rock._

This is a slogan of the AV project. It illustrates our stance in this new culture economy. We are counterculture of:

*   pump and dumpooors
    
*   p2e ponzinomic inflationooors
    
*   social influencer exit liquiditooors
    

We believe in the future of cryptoart and the digital asset economy on the whole. We have real insight into how this change will happen and where our place resides in that future… and we don’t need anyone’s permission to build toward it.
