# AILayer Staking Campaign: Points Calculation Guidance

Since the launch of our Mainnet on April 1, 2024, we have received an incredible amount of participation, reaching a milestone of over $700 million in TVL. With the increasing number of participants, we are launching an updated points calculation guidance to simplify your staking experience.

### **Points Calculation & Distribution**

*   **Points Distribution Time**
    
    Snapshot of staked assets will be taken at 12:00 AM UTC everyday, with points distribution taking place on random intervals on the same day of snapshot.
    
*   **Valuation**
    
    The value of staked assets is calculated based on the price of BTC in [CoinMarketCap](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/) that day.
    
*   **Points Formula**
    
    Daily TVL Points = Base Points + Invitation Points + Buff Points
    
    Base Points = Number of assets staked that day \* 10,000 (rounded down)
    
    Invitation Points = Directly invited members' base points \* 16% + Indirectly invited members' base points \* 8%.
    
    Buff Points = Computing Power Buff + Card Drawing Buff
    
*   **Example**
    
    User XXX stakes assets valued at XXX BTC, therefore earning XXX points on that day.
    

### **Invitation Points**

In AILayer’s Staking Campaign, users can either create or join a team. Each team is limited to 1,000 members.

*   **How to invite**
    
    Join a team: Join through an invitation code provided by an already established team.
    
    Create a team: Establish and share your team’s invitation code to others.

Whether you’re the leader or the member of the team, inviting users to your team brings the same benefits.

*   When a user joined your team through your invitation code continued by staking their assets, 16% of their daily base points will be awarded to you.
    
*   When a user that you invited brings another user to the team, you will earn an additional 8% from that other user’s staked daily base points.

*   **Invitation Points Formula**
    
    Invitation Points = Directly invited users (Daily Points \* 16%) + Indirectly invited users (Daily points \* 8%)
    
*   **Example**
    
    When A invites B, and B invites C, A earns 16% of B’s staking points and 8% of C’s staking points.
    

### **Buff Points**

Users can earn extra TVL points from Computing Power Buff and Card Buffs.

*   **Computing Power Buff**
    
    Each team is able to receive different levels of computing power buffs based on their total staked assets (calculated from all of the team members), and the type of staked assets (Normal or Buff Assets)

*   **Explanation of Chart**
    
    When a team’s total staked amount reaches the amount stated above, that team will receive a corresponding buff bonuses, with the team leader receiving double.
    
*   **Example**
    
    A team’s total staking amount reached 5 BTC, therefore each of the team members will receive an additional 0.8% points on the next day, with the leader receiving 1.6%.
    

### **Buff Cards**

Buff cards can be earned by drawing cards, each draw earns you a card. The drawing card feature will be unlocked once the team’s TVL has reached 0.5 BTC, which allows each team member to draw a card once every two days.

*   **Formula**
    
    The interval of drawing cards will decrease based on the following formula:
    
    1 / TVL = X days (draw a card every X days)
    
*   **Cards Type**
    
    *   Time Machine Card: Reduces the next card draw interval by 5%.
        
    *   S-Buff Card: Increases base points by 0.10%.
        
    *   SR-Buff Card: Increases base points by 0.40%
        
    *   SSR-Buff Card: Increases base points by 1.00%

**Note**

Each card can only be used once, and will automatically be used on the next daily points update. If multiple cards are received during the day, their effects will stack on the next daily points update.
