# Tutorial to Swap $BNB and $MATIC for Staking in AILayer

Step-by-Step Guidance for Swapping $BNB and $MATIC for Staking in AILayer

This guidance is specifically focused on the swapping feature for users with **$BNB** or **$MATIC**, with the swapped assets being able to be utilized for staking in the AILayer Dataset Staking event.

1\. Follow **steps 1-6** of our _$USDT and $USDC Staking Guidance_

2\. Select the **Stake** tab, followed by clicking the network _dropdown_ to see the list of network chains.

3\. Select the EVM network: **BNB Chain** or **Polygon Chain**.

Select **BNB Chain** for swapping your **$BNB** tokens, and select **Polygon** for swapping your **$MATIC** tokens.

We will be swapping **$BNB** to **$USDT** for this specific tutorial, therefore, we selected **BNB Chain**.

4\. Click the **Select** button in the _Total Amount_ section.

5\. Select the asset you want to use for staking.

The option of **$BNB** or **$MATIC** will appear based on the network you choose. **$BNB** will appear when **BNB Chain** is selected, and **$MATIC** will appear when **Polygon** is selected.

6\. Click the **Select** button in the _Received Token_ section.

7\. Select the asset you expect to receive in the AILayer Mainnet: **$USDT** or **$USDC**.

8\. Enter the amount of tokens you want to _swap_ and _bridge_.

The amount of received token will be calculated automatically based the formula of _Total amount of swapped tokens - Slippage fee._

9\. _Create / join a team_ if you don't have one yet. The wallet in this tutorial is already part of a team. Check the **Staking Rules** article to learn more (Link provided above).

10\. Click on **Confirm**.

11\. A message box will appear to confirm the approval of the spending cap. Click **Approve**, and a _pop-up_ from your wallet will appear.

12\. **Approve** the spending cap on the _pop-up window_ of your wallet.

13\. A message box will appear to confirm the transaction requested. Click **Submit**, and a _pop-up_ from your wallet will appear.

14\. **Confirm** the transaction from the _pop-up window_ of your wallet.

15\. This message box will appear indicating that you have successfully staked your selected EVM asset! Congratulations!

16\. You can now head to the **Stake Campaign** page to view the progress of your _staked assets_ and your _team's staked assets_.
