What is LayerZero?
------------------

[LayerZero](https://twitter.com/LayerZero_Labs) is an **omnichain** interoperability protocol designed to lightweight messaging across chains. It provides authentic and guaranteed message delivery with configurable uptime.

**Core features:**

*   **Relayers** - Perform a critical role in the **LayerZero** protocol by delivering messages and work in tandem with an **Oracle** to transmit messages between chains.
    
*   **Oracle** - Performs part of the **LayerZero** messaging protocol by moving data from chain to chain, each one has the task of moving a requested block header from a source chain to a destination chain.
    
*   **Endpoint -** The omnichain contracts for sending messages.
    
*   **Interfaces -** Developers may need one or more of these interfaces when working with **LayerZero** contracts.

[LayerZero](https://twitter.com/LayerZero_Labs) Labs has raised [$135 million](https://defillama.com/protocol/stargate) in a funding round co-host by [Sequoia Capital](https://twitter.com/sequoia), FTX Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz, along with investors such as [Coinbase Ventures](https://twitter.com/cbventures), [PayPal](https://twitter.com/PayPal) Ventures, Tiger Global, [Uniswap Labs](https://twitter.com/Uniswap) and others.

The funding will go towards new omnichain developments, as **LayerZero** is also accelerating the development of decentralized cross-chain dApps.

How to qualify for $ZRO token?
------------------------------

The first method is: **active voting**. Most projects use this method to potentially reward their community.

*   Use Faucet ETH/AVAX for fee (Bottom of the page)
    
*   Perform a couple of bridge transactions between networks, at least once a week to show regular activity ✅

Here we use real money, this is not a financial advice and you should do your own research before testing the platforms below.

C. Conclusion

[Layer Zero](https://twitter.com/LayerZero_Labs) is intended to be a base layer for multi-chain applications that will allow inter-chain communication and revolutionize bridges as we know them today. Plenty of projects are interested by the tech behind LayerZero Labs & we can interact with several platforms on Testnet & Mainnet.
