# The Emergent Art Manifesto

**We’re looking for a Solana or StarkNet developer to write programs for a text-based NFT project:  The Emergent Art Manifesto (EAM).** 

Emergent Art is a radical new artform enabled by general-purpose blockchains (Loot for Adventurers is an early example). The EAM is itself an Emergent Artwork. 

On the EAM site (**TheEmergentArtManifesto.com)**, you can mint text-only NFTs called _manifestos_. You can only mint a manifesto by _branching_ another one. This creates a _tree of linked manifestos_, visualized on the site’s home page. 

### HOW IT WORKS

It’ll all start with manifesto 0.

By clicking on 0, you’ll go to a page where you can read the manifesto.

You can _branch_ this manifesto by clicking “Branch this manifesto”. This will pop open a page where you can edit its text.

You can add a word, rewrite a sentence, or delete it all and start from scratch. Once you’re done writing, you’ll go to a checkout page, connect your Solana wallet, and pay the minting fee.

After the fee is paid…

1.  An NFT of your manifesto will be dropped into your wallet,
    
2.  Your manifesto will be saved as a permanent branch of manifesto 0 (or whatever manifesto you branched), and
    
3.  It’ll be listed at the top of the home page. Your manifesto will show up as its number in the index. For example, the 1st branched manifesto will come up as “manifesto 1”.

Now, anyone will be able to branch your manifesto. As more manifestos are minted, the list will grow.

### WHO ARE WE?

We’re a team of two:

1.  An emergent artist (_anon_) who is writing Manifesto 0, and helping assemble the Emergent Art scenius. 
    
2.  A frontend developer ([_Max Georgopolous_](https://maxgeor.github.io/personal-site/)) and designer who is building and designing the EAM’s frontend.
    

  

### WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

We need help with a few things:

1.  Write the programs that will create the manifesto NFTs, including a rev-share for each manifesto’s writer
    
2.  Figure out how the NFT’s linking structure should work
    
3.  Help us understand how to save lots of text on-chain and any alternative approaches
    
4.  What minting might costs might look like, especially since lots of text could be saved
