Slightly belated we have another topic of the over at [usv.com](http://usv.com): [The Ethics of Algorithms](https://www.usv.com/topic/the-ethics-of-algorithms). I have written a bunch about this topic in the past, for instance when discussing the need for an [opposing view reader](http://continuations.com/post/10979468250/needed-the-opposing-view-reader) or the danger of [information cascades](http://continuations.com/post/5189184538/fake-quotes-and-information-cascades). Both the people working on algorithms, such as filtering a feed and making recommendations, and the endusers of these applications need to weigh in on the discussion. So [head on over to usv.com and join in](https://www.usv.com/topic/the-ethics-of-algorithms).

PS If you don’t really know what an algorithm is but are afraid to ask you can find [all my Tech Tuesday posts about algorithms](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=algorithm+tech+tuesday+site%3Acontinuations.com).
