MetaMask has surpassed [30 million users](https://decrypt.co/95039/metamask-consensys-30-million-users) and is planning a DAO and its own token. Somehow, this little drama [involves Joseph Lubin](https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/22/03/26153664/wen-token-metamask-users-could-get-rewarded-soon-with-new-funding-dao-launch), founder of ConsenSys. A group of ConsenSys AG shareholders [sued Lubin](https://protos.com/consensys-lawsuit-jpmorgan-owns-critical-ethereum-infrastructure/) earlier this year over alleged irregularities regarding CAG intellectual property. ConsenSys is the company that developed MetaMask and the lawsuit reveals that [JPMorgan owns stake](https://cryptosrus.com/lawsuit-reveals-jp-morgan-owns-critical-ethereum-infrastructure/) in that asset, which shareholders weren’t aware of. \*Yikes! \*ConsenSys is now valued at $7 billion due to a recent [$450 million capital raise](https://www.coindesk.com/business/2022/03/15/450m-raise-values-ethereum-builder-consensys-at-7b-as-metamask-tops-30m-users/). Microsoft was [one of the investors](https://www.cnbc.com/2022/03/15/consensys-doubles-valuation-to-7-billion-with-microsoft-backing.html).

Bitcoin bounced back [over $41,000](https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2022/03/16/bitcoin-tops-41k-in-crawl-back-from-37k-weekend-lows/). A good sign?

Binance is now [licensed to operate](https://www.forbes.com/sites/zinnialee/2022/03/15/binance-wins-crypto-license-in-bahrain-amid-middle-east-expansion/?sh=39084dcb452e) in Bahrain. Its U.S. branch is a little bit closer to acceptance in [all 50 states](https://blockworks.co/binance-us-inches-closer-to-approval-in-all-50-states/). Hawaii, Texas, New York, Idaho, and Vermont are the hold-out states. In order to sync nodes, the crypto exchange temporarily [halted Polygon transactions](https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-temporarily-halts-polygon-deposit-and-withdrawal-to-sync-nodes) yesterday. _Don’t you just love the ebbs and flows?_

Last month, the Marshall Islands [recognized DAOs](https://www.yahoo.com/video/daos-recognized-legal-entities-only-185100563.html) as legal entities. As the United States explores what cryptocurrencies are capable of and scratching its head about how to regulate, legislate, and implement digital money, the small island in the Pacific became the first sovereign nation to recognize the legality of decentralized autonomous organizations. Although, Wyoming [beat them to the punch](https://www.wyoleg.gov/Legislation/2021/SF0038) by a few months. The question is [why Marshall Islands](https://cointelegraph.com/news/legal-daos-why-are-the-marshall-islands-betting-on-a-decentralized-future)? What’s so special about that little crop of land?
