# ETH ETF!

Today, Tuesday July 23rd, 2024, will be the first day TradFi (traditional finance) will be able to have exposure to Ethereum through the ETH ETF launch. BlackRock, Fidelity, ARK 21Shares, Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, VanEck, Grayscale and Invesco Galaxy will all have their own [listings](https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-etfs-coming-what-you-need-know) and Coinbase will provide custody for most of these companies.

We have seen great success of the BTC ETF, seeing billions of dollars invested into the BTC ETF's, brining in institutions as new holders of BTC for their clients. Spencer noted yesterday that IBIT (BlackRock's BTC ETF) has passed QQQ in YTD net flows... even with QQQ having a 7 day head start as IBIT did not launch until January 11th.

IBIT has passed QQQ into YTD net flows. And could pass Vanguard's Total Stock Market ETF very soon too. Compare the net sizes of these ETF's vs. net inflows. Demand for Bitcoin via ETF has been relentless. Unprecedented really.

ETH has always been #2 behind BTC, so we can assume ETH will have lower inflows than BTC, but we should still expect to see billions of dollars flow into the ETH ETF's. Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock was interviewed in March and talked about tokenization of assets which makes so much sense. Instantaneous settlement, an up to date ledger, etc. will 100% be the future, just a matter of how it is implemented and it seems Larry has hinted many times it will be with Ethereum.

**So, what does this mean?**

With the current market sentiment being pretty bullish for the next few months / year and billions of dollars about to flow into Ethereum in the middle of a bull run, I think we will continue to see ETH climb up in price. This will have a trickle down effect to the ETH ecosystem, including $BETS. People take their profits from ETH or play the ETH beta's to invest in coins that will outperform ETH, like $BETS. Let's see, I am excited.
