The Currency by Damien Hirst was sold as an NFT. Holders had an option after a fixed period of time to decide to keep as digital ownership or to redeem as a physical art piece. After the deadline to decide, those that kept the option to hold as a NFT, the physical had to be burned. This marked the significance of ownership between digital and physical. Outcome was more or less 50-50.
