# We chose to enable trading early

NAB trading was supposed to open in Feb 2025. However, it started early for the following reasons:

$NAB transfers are now unlocked.

Mithril contract will become active end of February. During this time we will ONLY record (but not act on) the highest low.  
  
After February we will ACTIVATE Mithril to start acting on $NAB's highest…

The market is moving our number faster than expected, with buyers quickly absorbing the limited liquidity pool.  
  
As of now, there are only 68K $NAB tokens in existence, most of them being held by minters.
