# Mistake as a Way Forward

People like to think progress comes from getting things right. But more often than not, it comes from getting things wrong — again and again. Mistakes aren't the exception. They're the way through.

Hard problems don’t fall on the first try. And when something does work on the first shot, it’s usually not a good sign.
Victory without struggle is a strong drug. It corrupts the soul just like anything that brings joy without effort.
It gives confidence without foundation, skill without practice. That kind of win teaches nothing.

Mistakes do the opposite. They narrow things down. They clear the fog. They show you what doesn’t work, which is the only way to find what might.

Things get figured out not because someone’s a genius — but because they didn’t stop.
