# AMHO Atelier × Filecoin Microgrant 📁

Today we’re excited to announce our support from the [Filecoin](https://filecoin.io/) and [Protocol Labs](https://protocol.ai/) team for approving our _Next Step Microgrant_ in building a QR code for physical and digital items.

In order to take the next step for QR code-enabled goods, we’re utilizing this grant to improve the QR code minting pipeline and smart contracts.

**Why Filecoin?**

The InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) and Filecoin power the storage backbone of web3. In their own words:
