Paul Schrader is looking for an assistant and describes the position as "crap and ice cream," which can be interpreted as "carrot and stick." The successful candidate must have at least a college degree (even Schrader requires a diploma), have a solid understanding of film history, and be strong enough to carry film reels. The director plans to start preparations for a new film in December. Only those living in New York and the surrounding areas are eligible, so most of us are out of luck .
