# Metanorm: 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺: Restore the Timeline

What is Metanorm?Metanorm started in 2018, and has been building in solitude ever since. Initially set out to be a movement in fashion, culture, self-improvement and the improvement of cultural norms, Metanorm has always been quite the ambitious undertaking. The pandemic of 2020 hit and the lack of commute allowed for more personal time which allowed for more energy and development to pour into Metanorm and the underlying ideology. The NFT wave of 2021 came shortly after and new gears in the development of Metanorm started spinning. With a gamut of new ideas and open source tech, I wondered how Metanorm could employ novel incentive structures to bring about deeper and larger movements, as well as help steer the burgeoning web3 cultures away from unhealthy or unsustainable norms in its earliest days. One of the core tenets of the Metanorm headspace is living an examined life and in that vein, cultivating an examined culture. We have all these societal norms—which of these norms are healthy and which are unhealthy? Which are unsustainable or even regressive? What are new norms we can bring to light and appropriate? These are simply a few of the questions Metanorm seeks to answer or provide commentary for over the remainder of space and time, or at least, human existence. That’s correct, our roadmap and milestones are set against the timeline of human existence, not six months or a year. Always play the long game. In the last few months, another system emerged from the depths of the Metanorm cultural development studio and we’re going to tease that system today.That system is a cultural movement that appropriated the name of 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺.A simple pixel artwork can blossom into a culture—into a movement. The image featured here is one of the absolute first 𝙶𝙵𝚇 designed in the genesis of 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺.Over the last few decades, many have expressed the sentiment that somehow the timeline our collective existence is proceeding down has been corrupted. They look to all the awful events of the last few years and think something went wrong and surmise that our worldly trajectory is down only. They believe that surely, there must be a parallel timeline where the World Trade Center is still standing—where JFK died peacefully in his sleep in a penthouse suite at the Trump Tower in NYC while a bunch of misunderstood millennials drink at a bar down the street, discussing their favorite new wave art renaissance in web3. Or surely there’s a timeline where your favorite artist or artwork didn’t sell out? What if I told you that at Metanorm we have irrefutable evidence that the timeline has been corrupted? We aren’t sure when the corruption started, but we do know that from the evidence we’ve gathered that it seems to be an attempt from the future to stop the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 movement from gaining mainstream adoption in order to maintain control over the working class populations and continue to exploit our planet’s riches and resources. An unknown but futuristic, fascist force (we’ve taken to calling the 𝙵𝙵𝙵) is at work from the future and parallel timelines, actively disrupting and plotting to destroy the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 movement and the planet. The 𝙵𝙵𝙵 can try and disrupt the messaging but here it is clean and simple: 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 means many things but for us, it means 𝙿𝙴𝙾𝙿𝙻𝙴𝚂 𝚄𝙽𝙸𝚃𝙴𝙳 𝙸𝙽 𝙽𝙾𝙽-𝙺𝙾𝙽𝙵𝙾𝚁𝙼𝙸𝚃𝚈. It seems the 𝙵𝙵𝙵 first started muddling with the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 movement and the messaging in the 1970’s, when they first realized the potential endgame of the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 movement was 𝙿𝙲𝙲𝙲. That is, if fully realized, the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 movement results in 𝙿𝙲𝙲𝙲 or 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚎𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚢 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚞𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝙲𝚘𝚘𝚛𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙲𝚞𝚕𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎—that’s our planet, united for the first time in resources, coordination and culture. It’s a beautiful thing to any good 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 but not to the 𝙵𝙵𝙵. A peaceful and united planet is the last thing the 𝙵𝙵𝙵 wants and so they’ve made absolute certain that the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 movement could never coagulate entirely or gather mainstream momentum. To this day, the 𝙵𝙵𝙵 has the whole world believing that 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 is just a niche genre of rock music instead of what it could be if fully realized: the greatest hope for the future the world has ever seen. The 𝙵𝙵𝙵 actively seek new issues or politics to drum up or resurrect in order to divide the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺𝚜 and the rest of the people on our planet. They absolutely love it when 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺𝚜 and people argue about the real meaning of the movement or anything else that easily divides us. Hear us now, do not confuse 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 with any other projects out there: the 𝙵𝙵𝙵 generally allows for a few projects and ideas to get exposure under a punkish branding though typically only the tame and hollow corpo products that they deem acceptable. The 𝙵𝙵𝙵 believes that if they allow for some of these poseur punk projects to propagate then no one should become suspicious of the 𝙵𝙵𝙵 in their quest to quash unadulterated 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺. You may have heard of a few of those projects—we assure you, they are corpo 𝙿𝚁𝙾𝙳𝚄𝙲𝚃𝚜 and 𝙲𝙾𝚁𝚁𝚄𝙿𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽𝚜 of the movement and nothing more. There is only 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺.———————————————————This is why at 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺, we are certainly nervous to spring from the shadows with our movement, as the 𝙵𝙵𝙵 is in wait to strike us down before we can become more powerful than they can control. If you understand the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 ethos and movement as we do, you understand that it is synonymous with 𝙲𝙲𝟶. No 𝙲𝙲𝟶mpromises. 𝙲𝙲𝟶 = 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺. So the timeline has been corrupted by the 𝙵𝙵𝙵 and other corpo branding efforts—where does that leave us and 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 now? Well, while we’ve been building 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 for the last few months safely in the shadows, it’s nearing time to come to light and we need your help. We are actively building 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺: 𝙲𝙷𝙰𝙿𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚉𝙴𝚁𝙾, and are seeking artists to contribute. Why 𝙲𝙷𝙰𝙿𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚉𝙴𝚁𝙾? To reset the 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 corruption and restore the timeline, overwriting the corrupted values of 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 from the start of the cultural index. 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺: 𝙲𝙷𝙰𝙿𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚉𝙴𝚁𝙾 will be a new movement in 𝙲𝙲𝟶: a lifestyle and world the likes of which none have ever seen before. With 𝙲𝙷𝙰𝙿𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚉𝙴𝚁𝙾, we will be showcasing the collection model and concepts. At this time, we are hoping to start the release of 𝙲𝙷𝙰𝙿𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚉𝙴𝚁𝙾 in September.
