# How to raise capital in Web3 by testing projects? - Part 1

If you have recently joined web3 you will have noticed that here your capital defines you. What does it mean?

The fact is that, depending on how much you have, the actions you will be able to perform will depend on it. If you have capital, you will be able to perform more complex and lucrative actions.

_But if you don't have capital, you will have to start from the bottom._

In this digital jungle, there is no condescension, no populism, no contemplation... you either adapt or you get eaten... What I have just written is a bit strong, but that's how it is. The market today is at a point of extreme drought.

There is little capital, big projects are waiting for better times and opportunities and there are endless profiteers who want your money, much or little: hacks, scams, phishing, rug pulls... are the order of the day.

But wait... don't go away... it's survivable, you just have to be prepared and quicker to adapt.

And that's what we'll look at today.

One of the main rookie mistakes I made is thinking that I will be able to do everything, that I will be able to participate in every project there is and that I was going to win in all of them.

But that didn't happen. I have had successes and failures, but, above all, I have realized how far I can go. What is my limit. If I don't have capital, I can't expect to make a super profitable investment.

You have to be realistic. That's why I present below, the 4 levels of capital, so you can see where you stand and what you can do.

**LEVEL 0 - No capital**
------------------------

ZERO capital... here we interact with the basics. The MOST basic of this web3 world. The goal is to get that first airdrop or a prize that will take me to level 1. To do this you will have to:

* Find projects that are just starting.

* See that these projects start with marketing and engagement campaigns.

* Participate in these campaigns, investing time in them. At this point, your capital is time. You will have to be strategic where you "spend" or "waste" it.

*   Participate in sweepstakes (raffles).

Basically the attitude is... where there are raffles for tokens, nft or money.... enter. It is true that you will find a lot of garbage. At this level we can't be too picky, but we must manage our time. So... find the projects (if you follow me on X or Friendtech you'll know that I post a lot of them weekly), and get hooked on their marketing campaigns on:

* **Zealy**: it's usually the main medium. They do weekly and monthly sprints where they give prizes to those who are higher on the leaderboard.

* **Galxe**: it is used to win NFT or OAT, which are sometimes used to win airdrops or tokens.

* **Task On**: here you can win tokens and NFT.

* **QuestN**: here you can win tokens and money.

* **Discord Levels**: in many small projects, climbing discord levels will guarantee you better roles and more tokens from a future airdrop. You will have to measure your time well, because sometimes this type of airdrop is the one that pays the least.

*   Etc.

On X (formerly Twitter) there are also many campaigns where projects seek to grow their follower base.

_These are the typical "Like, RT and mention 3 friends" campaigns..._

Don't leave them aside... there are interesting prizes to be won, especially if few people participate (I tell you from experience).

I'm not going to lie to you, there will be risks and it is a tedious level. Especially because it involves a lot of time invested in projects that are just starting.

Another possible source of tokens or money are the **_testnets_**. But you should pay attention to those that say they are **_incentivized_** (either with constant money or with tokens from the project).

In this last year there have been many forms: extremely difficult and unsuccessful (like SEI) or others very easy and very lucrative (like Aptos)...

You will come across many projects that have them, use them but with moderation. Don't put all hope and faith in these testnets.

To sum up:

*   We seek to capitalize.

* We will test what the market has to offer

* We will run marketing and engagement campaigns

* We will participate in sweepstakes

*   Participate in incentivized Testnets

[Follow me on X](https://twitter.com/argos_defi) to keep up to date with this info if you are at this level... we will scale one by one all the levels until we capitalize and invest big in DeFi.

Best regards
