The Avalanche Foundation has unveiled the Avalanche Card, a Visa credit card that lets users spend cryptocurrency seamlessly. Announced on October 21, this card supports popular assets like Circle’s USDC, Wrapped AVAX, and BENQI Liquid Staked AVAX, available in both physical and virtual forms for use wherever Visa is accepted.

Linked to a self-custody wallet with a unique address for each asset, the Avalanche Card ensures that user activity isn’t reported to credit bureaus. While it’s issued by Rain Liquidity, a fintech provider, it’s important to note that neither the card nor Rain Liquidity are banks or FDIC-insured.

Initially, the card will be available to residents in Latin America and the Caribbean, excluding certain countries like Cuba and Venezuela. Notably, there are no spending fees associated with the Avalanche Card, but users should check the full terms for any service fees.
