I’ve worked for design firms in Germany and London, US and Canada with clients all over the world. Since my introduction into the Web3 Space late 2020 I’ve become incredibly passionate about the opportunities for design and innovation in the space. This is where Chonkz comes in, our goal for Chonkz began with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between physical and digital. To catalyse convergence of the realm of real and lead the expedition into a phygital world. This sounds cool, but what does it mean? Well, rather than just creating another PFP, the goal with Chonkz was to create a character that could exist as a small part of an entire ecosystem. The Chonkz explore, build and thrive, providing value through their many adventures and journeys. Throughout their travels, they will discover “artefacts”, which will be delivered to holders via Airdrop which can be sold or utilized. By creating a character, it also gives us the opportunity to create landscapes and spaces for the community which are meant to be accessed through VR experiences and NFT displays. ### The Collection Chonkz is a collection of **5555 fully CCO’d** characters roaming the metaverse. Our Chonkz are broken up into differing Genotypes with Genotype specific traits, this means we are able to have a huge amount of variety between the Chonkz and still hold to our minimalist design aesthetic. ![Early Prototype](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/54097be8fc7bb5d5c5e50311bcfca067d22af8ad6bcec19a5be862514db81e24.png) Early Prototype At our current time 5/3/2022 we are in the process of editing our traits and reducing them to the cleanest and most dynamic options. Our greatest variety comes with our genotypes, types with traits that have been modified and tested to coincide with the genotype and corresponding colorway. We are incredibly excited about delivering this VR experience and NFT drop to our holders. Our team is a group of Architect candidates from Ivy’s and top tier global universities with work experience at places like Tesla, Amazon, Google, BIG and Zaha Hadid. Therefore we have decided on a full CC0 approach - (Creative Commons) aka “no copyright reserved” and is placed in the public domain. This means the community truly defines the outcome of the project and what’s continued to be built on top of Chonkz. There are plenty of projects coming out constantly, so why would Chonkz be the one to mint. From an investment standpoint, I always look for a few things. Does the team have passion and are they building beyond just a simple JPEG and prepared for continual market shifts? With Chonkz, I am aiming to answer these questions, we have created a simple product which can lead the team into a long road of design and development that is offering benefits and community engagement. ![ARO x @Aryarouhi 21/22 material explorations](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/cdef7fe98bec672750765b64c7fc760cab5d7f0dbeb160782aa507b687f66dae.png) ARO x @Aryarouhi 21/22 material explorations **ARO \[ Artefact Research Office \]** This is where ARO \[ Artefact Research Office \] comes in. Azuki has Chiru Labs, BAYC has Yuga Labs, and Muri has Haus. All different responses to the future development of Web 3, and good signs for continual future project growth. While we look to these brands for inspiration, ARO is unique in our approach to management and goal of deliverables. _ARO, is a decentralized design studio, creating artefacts that exist in between the digital and tangible realities. Unlike a Web2 design firm, or a Web2 Corporation our goal is for ARO to be run as a collective where we collaborate and build with designers, and other Web3 brands to create curated experiences for our clientele. The aim is to keep ARO small but elastic, to respond the everchanging demands of the Web3 Space._ Our global team leverages creativity and a pragmatic understanding of Web 3 to develop architectural and design interventions. In both the digital and physical, our design ethos is centered around design with intent, to create something beautiful.
