Chapter 1
---------

> **A boy stood at the edge of a forest that wasn't supposed to be there.**
>
> The map said _"Field."_ His phone said _"No Signal."_ And the strange watch on his wrist? It had just whispered:
>
> **“Turn left before the trees remember.”**
>
> Sam had found the watch inside an old wooden box at a flea market, nestled between a stack of dusty chess books and a wind-up monkey that never blinked. The old man who sold it to him winked, said, _"It only works for those who listen."_
>
> Sam thought he meant time.
>
> But now, the watch was guiding him... into a forest that shifted when he wasn't looking.
>
> One step in, and the path behind him was gone. The watch pulsed again.
>
> **“Don’t trust the birds. They remember your name.”**
>
> Sam took a deep breath and followed the whisper.
>
> ### Chapter 2: _The Pawn’s Path_
>
> > Sam took his first real step into the forest.
> >
> > The air shifted. It wasn't just cold — it _watched_. The trees creaked like bones stretching after a nap. Leaves whispered in languages his ears weren’t supposed to understand.
> >
> > The watch blinked again.
> >
> > **“Find the black pawn. He knows the way.”**
> >
> > Sam blinked. _A what now?_
> >
> > A few steps ahead, nestled in the roots of a twisted oak, sat a single black chess pawn. It wasn’t carved. It looked… alive. Breathing. Maybe bored.
> >
> > As Sam reached for it, the pawn _moved_.It didn’t walk — it _slid_ like a piece on an invisible board.
> >
> > Then it spoke.
> >
> > “You’re two moves too late, forestwalker. But not checkmated… yet.”
> >
> > “Okay WHAT is happening,” Sam whispered to himself.
> >
> > “Don’t whisper,” the pawn snapped. “The forest hears whispers like screams.”
> >
> > The watch buzzed again. A new message:
> >
> > **“Follow the pawn. But beware of knights.”**
> >
> > The pawn twitched. “Come, Sam. The trees are already changing.”
> >
> > Sam followed.
> >
> > Chapter 3: _Knights of the Twisted Grove_
> > -----------------------------------------
> >
> > > The forest dimmed the further they walked, as if time itself forgot this path. Sam’s phone, long dead, buzzed once — and then smoked.
> > >
> > > The pawn stopped. “Listen.”
> > >
> > > Hooves. But not normal hooves — these clanged like metal on stone. The sound bounced off trees that weren’t there a moment ago.
> > >
> > > Then, from the shadows, it emerged.
> > >
> > > A **knight** — tall, faceless, armored, riding a steed made of bark and shadow. The creature’s eyes glowed like lanterns.
> > >
> > > Sam froze. The pawn whispered, “Don’t run. Don’t speak. He smells fear and misplaced rooks.”
> > >
> > > The knight raised a hand. It held… a rook-shaped key?
> > >
> > > “You trespass on sacred strategy,” the knight boomed. “Do you know the first rule of the forest board?”
> > >
> > > Sam’s brain went full static. “Uhh... don’t lose the king?”
> > >
> > > The knight tilted its helmet. “Acceptable.”
> > >
> > > He tossed the rook-key to Sam, who barely caught it. The moment he did, the ground shifted beneath them — the forest _reset_ like a shuffled puzzle.
> > >
> > > The pawn sighed. “You’ve been marked now. It gets trickier from here.”
> > >
> > > Sam looked at the key. It pulsed with warmth… and opened a path forward.
> > >
> > > :THAT WAS CHAPERS 1,2 AND 3! HOPE YOU LIKED IT CHAPTER 4 COMING OUT SOON!
