Despite this, a subsequent downtrend with 398,403 active addresses as of May 23, 2023, is observed. **Hackathons** Integrating web3 technology can be challenging if it does not meet the minimum demand criteria for widespread adoption. Hence, hackathons play a crucial role in boosting their significance by onboarding developers to create impactful projects with everyday applications. ETHGlobal Lisbon 2023 is a hackathon that brings together experts in the Ethereum Ecosystem. The hackers competed for a $275,000 prize pool from participating ecosystem partners including 1inch Network, Worldcoin, Optimism, Polygon, Gnosis Chain, and many more. Another notable project is this disposable, prepaid crypto card to aid in Bolivia's banking crisis using cryptocurrency.
