It is built on Base, the leading Layer 2 (L2) network on Ethereum, incubated by Coinbase. Base Colors is something fundamentally new and different. It shares characteristics with both profile picture (PFP) NFT collections and cryptocurrencies, but it is unlike any of either before it. Every token is non-fungible. You can mint the NFTs on our website and trade them on marketplaces like OpenSea. But there are 16,777,216 tokens (Base Colors), one for every color in the RGB color system. That is orders of magnitude more than the supply of most NFT projects, but fewer than that of most cryptocurrencies.
