# Main Bridge from Ethereum to Base is now live 🔥

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Base is now open for bridging, marking a significant milestone in our journey. **_Even more exciting, the highly anticipated Base mainnet will be accessible to everyone starting August 9th_**.

**_The next step in this vision involves the opening of "Base" for bridging, with the Base mainnet set to open for public use on August 9th_**. This will enable various decentralized applications (dapps) to integrate with Base, and new dapps will also be launched as part of the onchain ecosystem.

**Bridging to Base by Native Bridge: a detailed guide**

**Step 1: Access** [**Base Bridge**](https://bridge.base.org/)

**Step 2: Connect your wallet. You can use any Ethereum wallet that supports both the Ethereum mainnet and Base**

**Step 3: Select "Bridge assets"**

**Step 4: After your wallet is connected, choose deposit or withdraw**

**Step 5: Select the amount of ETH (or any available asset of your choice) you’d like to deposit or withdraw**

**Step 6: Check the Transaction Summary and click Deposit/ Withdraw**

**Step 7: In the Transactions section, you can review the details of both completed and ongoing transactions.**

**Get ready by learning about and bridging to Base**

To get ready for Onchain Summer and Base Mainnet, all you’ll need is a crypto wallet with ETH on Base. There are **six** _easy_ ways you can bridge to Base:
