Life is chaotic. You can drift on the turbulent tides or you can take the helm and decide what you want to accomplish. I don't like Google being able to track my every move. I don't want some fascist oligarch to know what I'm doing. My freedom is important to me. Freedom and privacy are partners, You can't have one without the other.I have many roles in my life. We all do. We have our personal life, our family life, our spiritual life, our life as a community servant… The list goes on. How do I manage the complexity of modern life? First, I am obsessed with helping people live quality lives on our increasingly hostile planet. Mine is to help you be more resilient in this chaotic world. Second, I have learned to say NO to anything that doesn't move my mission forward.Third, I write. I write about the risks we face and how we can deal with them. I write about obtaining financial independence because it takes money to prepare for catastrophes. I write about our environment because we are an integral part of our ecosystems.ResilenceI believe Resilience requires us to be good at three things:Our personal growth and the skills we developOur financial resilience. We must be able to pay our bills and respond to emergencies. The quality of the environment we live in.Planning for the futureI look at trends and try to predict what we must do to prosper in the future. My predictions for what will happen tomorrow are much better than for what will happen ten years in the future. I'm 93. One thing I can predict with near certainty; I won't be here in ten years. I have a short time to leave my legacy in this world. Another thing I am sure of is we cannot plan our future based on the past. The world is changing too fast.I try to live by the words of the Dalli Lama, "Help where you can; where you can't help be careful not to hurt."Enjoy your trip through lifeLife is an adventure. Enjoy every moment on your journey on your River of Life. Enjoy the rapids and portage around the waterfalls. Join me in our adventures on our River of Life.HelpParagraph is new to me.
