My great, great, great, great, great grandfather came from Quibec to Fort Vancouver 1836. He traveled the canoe route used by French-Canadian voyeurs who supplied the Hudson Bay Company fort and took beaver pelts back to “civilization”. Beavers are industrious and purpose driven. They dam streams to create ponds and build their homes in the middle of the pond they created thus creating a moat around their home to protect them from predators. They have the skills and the drive to build an environment where they can survive. We need to do the same in our increasingly chaotic world. I was raised in Oregon, the Beaver State and I graduated from Oregon State University, the Beaver College If that is not enough reason to produce the Busy Beaver Bulletin, I just like beavers. ## Publication Information - [Busy Beaver Bulletin](https://paragraph.com/@bbt/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@bbt/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@bbt): Subscribe to updates - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/kumuwaiwai): Follow on Twitter ## Optional - [Collect as NFT](https://paragraph.com/@bbt/why-beavers): Support the author by collecting this post - [View Collectors](https://paragraph.com/@bbt/why-beavers/collectors): See who has collected this post
