# How to Donate on Flow State

There's a new method to support builders who put purpose over profit: Flow State. This is a new product which takes the idea of Quadratic Funding (QF) and adding a streaming component. This allows builders to spend more time building and less time shilling their product versus round-based QF. The product is new, so may be difficult for some to use. This guide will help you navigate the process.Step 1 - Get a Donor BadgeQuadratic Funding uses # of donators to distribute matching funding, which means it can be gamed if people create multiple accounts. To ensure this doesn't happen, donators must obtain a donator badge. 1) Go to https://guild.xyz/octant-sqf-voterTry to use Desktop and not mobile - it's way less buggy2) Click "Join Guild" on the top right of the screen3) Sign in using your wallet4) Connect your email and do the captcha (you can also do GitHub if you have one)5) Click on "Recheck Access"6) If you connected your GitHub, or your address is from Coinbase, you can skip down to step x, otherwise you'll need to Setup a Gitcoin Passport.7) After you go thru the steps to create your Gitcoin Passport, you should now have access, but if not you can click the "Join Guild to check access" button on the top right. 8) Now click the "Reveal secret" button on the center and click on the link to take you to the next stepStep 2 - Donate in the RoundNow that you have a donor NFT, you can donate in the round. 1) If you haven't, go to https://flowstate.network/octant2) Scroll down to find a team you want to support - BCard is a good choice! (you can support multiple teams) 3) A sidebar will pop up. You can enter your monthly donation here. 0.0004 ETH is the minimum (about $1.25/month). 0.001 ETH is about $3/month4) You may need to wrap your ETH to ETHx so it can be sent monthly from your wallet to the team you want to support. We recommend wrapping a little more than 3-6 months worth of donations so you don't have to think about it for the next 3-6 months.5) Flow State will now ensure you are eligible by checking for the NFT. If you didn't already have it, you'll have to press "Claim Voter NFT"6) You can now donate by clicking Submit. If you need to wrap ETH -> ETHx, you will have to sign two transactions.Step 3 - Feel Good About Supporting Purpose-First BuildersAll of the builders in this Flow State round are purpose-first, so your donations will go a long way to helping them make the world a better place.
