# What the hell are Envelop?

All these components are bound by a unifying element, the NIFTSY token.

**What is the Envelop Protocol?**
=================================

The Envelop Protocol provides any onchain action to create crypto derivatives. Depending on the combination of different protocol settings you get derivatives with different properties. As a result of such tokenization, you get NFTs. Envelop calls this process wrapping, and NFT calls it a wrapped NFT (wNFT). Wrapped NFTs are fully compatible with regular NFTs, but have more possible properties.

Dapps are built on the base of the Envelop Protocol:

*   [Mint NFT](https://app.envelop.is/mintnew). You can mint any NFT or collection with metadata storage on IPFS or SWARM.
    
*   [Wrapper dApp](https://app.envelop.is/wrap). This is a basic dApp for working with the protocol and creating wNFTs with specified properties, including SBTs.
    

**What is the Envelop Oracle?**

Oracle Envelop provides the protocol for offchain and onchain data of financial and other NFTs like NFT2.0.
