I like that you walk slowly Because it slows me down too And I look up beneath the weeping vines That envelop me like lovers do

You teach me to be patient In the way you take your time In the way you sleep beneath the sun From four until it’s dinnertime

Why do we rush? What is it we’re longing for? We grasp tomorrow more than now We forget that now is worth waiting for

So let’s keep walking slowly Let’s stroll without a cue The end of the street is not too far I’m sure that time will wait for you
