# Results on Community Support

A week ago, [I wrote this](https://mirror.xyz/blackdave.eth/gA7bM_ACq3crXFIl1NFAD91s5KUjZppgD0GvkbI6klE), a post called “Thoughts on Community Support” that was the explanation and initiation of a plan to support my homie [Shawntel](https://twitter.com/shawntelco?s=21&t=87vAqdvl2HBcU3KFCtBRXw), one of my favorite folks in web3. The plan promises you a song of mine, _Oh Yes_, if you had collected an edition of the [Lotus Flower Bomb](https://create.zora.co/editions/0x516eebd8b290d41e24c2cc85b88ef97629869e30) NFT from Shawntel. The idea is that artists can find more direct ways to support each other by offering something tangible (digitally tangible?) to people who support your internal communities. I keep wanting to say intracommunity, which autocorrect didn’t flag so that’s what I’m saying.

After throwing up [a series of tweets](https://twitter.com/blackdave/status/1551315279686369280?s=21&t=87vAqdvl2HBcU3KFCtBRXw) about the article, the response was amazing, and **within 48 hours we had sold through all 20 editions**! Honestly, I didn’t think it was going to work. I wasn’t sure if using my platform to leverage getting someone else paid was going to work. I was shocked enough that it hadn’t sold out before I decided on this idea. It worked though, thanks to the community supporting the community. Love it.

I don’t have much to say besides thanks(!) and this is really cool. I hope this inspires someone else to take the initiative to support and uplift someone in their community.
