Following the successful completion of Season 4, we are excited to announce the launch of Escape Velocity Season 5! This season features a generous rebate rewards pool of 9,000,000 veBLACK, aimed at incentivizing loyalty and boosting active participation in the Blackhole ecosystem.Rules for Season 5The rules for Season 5 remain unchanged:Total Rebate Rewards Pool: 9,000,000 veBLACKA minimum lock of 2000 veBLACK is required to qualify.Only Supermassive locks count toward eligibility as long as minimum thresholds are met.Rebates are capped at 10% of the total pool per wallet, encouraging wider participation and fair distribution.Rebates will continue to be distributed as Supermassive NFTs airdropped directly to qualifying wallets.Locks transferred between wallets will credit the rebate to the wallet performing the locking, ensuring fairness. Our Escape Velocity Dune Dashboard will track the current Escape Velocity season, showing new commitments, eligible wallets and effective rebate percentage.Season 5 ScheduleThis season will span 3 weeks with the following start and end dates:Season 5 start: November 20, 12:00 pm UTCSeason 5 end: December 11, 12:00 pm, UTCSeason 4 Recap Season 4 was a landmark chapter in the Escape Velocity journey. Season 4 concluded with a remarkable total of 25,870,153 BLACK tokens burned. Within just the first week from October 30th to November 6th we saw an extraordinary burn of 11,900,000 BLACK tokens. Community participation was exceptionally strong, with 842 eligible wallets contributing. NFT activity was equally impressive, with 1,212 locks in total, split between 630 new users and 582 returning enthusiasts.
