At Bleap, we have been working hard to bring you the **world’s first wallet-connected debit card.** With the Bleap card, you can now spend your funds directly from any EVM non-custodial wallet without the hassle of off-ramping or locking/transferring your on-chain balance. As we approach our go-live date, we are thrilled to unveil some of the amazing progress our team has made.

We are excited to share that **we have received a $15,000 grant** from Covalent!

Covalent is one of the biggest providers of blockchain data, making this grant a testament to Bleap’s mission of bringing day-to-day finance on-chain.

So how will Bleap use Covalent?
-------------------------------

Covalent will play a pivotal role in powering almost all Bleap features:

1.  **Spend** your funds with a debit card
    
2.  **Buy** crypto without fees
    
3.  **Sell** crypto into your bank account
    
4.  **Send** crypto to your friend's bank account

To achieve this, we employ the Unified API for token balances. More specifically, because with Bleap you use the funds from your connected wallet, we use Covalent’s API to:

*   Monitor balances and wallet events, ensuring you can utilize your balance seamlessly with our **spend** feature;
    
*   Monitor our operational wallets, enabling you to **sell** and **send** crypto with ease;
    
*   Notify you promptly when your crypto lands after a **purchase;**
