The villagers no longer needed to rely on a certain authoritative institution to prove their rights and interests. They could simply refer to this ledger and everything would be clear at a glance. Moreover, due to the unalterability of the ledger, no one could casually change the records in it, which made the transactions in the whole village fairer, more just, and safer.

Later, some merchants came to this village and discovered this amazing ledger system. They introduced it to the outside world, and this was the prototype of blockchain.

The value of blockchain is just like the public ledger on this island. It breaks the dependence on intermediary institutions in traditional transactions through decentralized distributed ledger technology, reduces the cost of trust, and improves the efficiency of transactions. Whether it is cross-border payments and securities trading in the financial field, product traceability and logistics information tracking in supply chain management, or even identity authentication and data sharing in government services, blockchain can play a huge role in building a more transparent, trustworthy, and efficient world for us.
