For the man who carries kingdoms in his chest You arrived not bearing roses but the thundering tang of storms Your crown of rusted iron Bent by the weight of all you’ve built and called duty I saw you before the armor When your silence wasn’t stoic but the echo of a room where no one came to claim your trembling They forged your spine with sword Taught you to cleave the world into mind and to shield others But never how to let the light slip through your own fractures And still you showed up Daily resurrecting order from embers of the empire mistaking love for a siege to survive But hear me now warrior of the old world I’ve come to break your fast Let me feel the real you I hunger for the untamed truth of you The ache you hide behind your victories The soft animal of your heart Grawning through it’s chains Let me be the harbor where your storm stills. To remind your bones They were first made for wonder, not war. You are not the wall you’ve built You are the man inside the quiet.
