# Base for Builders

Base has become a hub for creators and developers.  
The recent Buildathon highlighted this.  
It's clear that Base is empowering people to build the future of web3.

**From Idea to Reality (Almost)**
---------------------------------

A few weeks back, I had this idea of creating a chain where people could add their own BlockyBull "node" with a bullish quote.

It sounded cool at first, but then doubt started creeping in.  
Other ideas seemed more interesting.

With the Base Buildathon deadline approaching, I realized I needed to just pick something and run with it.

So, I revisited the chain idea.  
  
The concept was “simple”: a chain of 5,5k nodes made of a PFP and a message.  
Each claimable by a BlockyBull owner, with the option to add other collections later.  
People could even create custom Base logos using a part of the chain.

Easier said than done.

Diving back into smart contract development was a steep learning curve.  
Setting up the development environment and testing everything locally took way longer than expected.

By Sunday night, it was clear I wouldn't finish everything before the deadline.

While it was disappointing, it's not a defeat.  
I'll dedicate next weekend to work on the project.

**Expanding the BlockyBulls**
-----------------------------

Giveaways are a fantastic way to get noticed.  
The recent BasedMinis giveaway worked well.  
They've got a great community and their founder consistently delivers fresh art.

After launching the **𝕏** account, I created artwork to share and thinking of sharing everything on Zora as well.

Always trying to reach more people.

Beyond the Block
----------------

Not much news there, just I’ll be pushing the BlockyBull Pepe in this collection this week.

Keep Building!

While creating tech projects can be time consuming,  
I'm convinced that empowering the community is more impactful in the long run.

I think many people have seen the BlockyBulls project, but it needs that extra spark to truly ignite.
