**Where is home?**

A window seat on a train, profoundly. London, practically. Iran, ancestrally.

**What is the most beautiful object you own (or have owned)?**

This Persian miniature painting on a small leather scroll. It depicts a scene from an Omar Khayyam couplet, calligraphed at the top. It’s not a technically remarkable object, bought on a whim from an unknown artisan, but it’s hung in every home I’ve had as an adult and is imbued with all kinds of meaning and magic, pain and joy.

**What do you admire most about the others in Bloom?**

The ease with which we see the good in each other, no matter what 🙏

**What would surprise your 16-year-old self the most about your life today?**

That I’m satisfied with the life I’ve lived so far and comfortable with the idea of death, that everything from here on out is a bonus. Also that I’m not as financially rich as many of my peers from that time. These may or may not be related.

**What are you reading at the moment?**

_David Whyte: Essentials In Love with the World_ by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche _The Once and the Future King_ by T.H. White _Self-Therapy_ by Jay Earley

**What is your most overused emoji?**

**What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?**

Floating in an ocean of isolation, far from any safe harbour, with the ups and downs of the storms always landing you on a wobbly surface.

**What is your greatest extravagance?**

Spa Saturdays once every month or two, solo or with friends, at [Ironmonger Row Baths](https://www.spaexperience.org.uk/locations/old-street) (currently closed but can’t wait for it to re-open!), followed by [Ramen](https://bonedaddies.com/location/old-street/).

Using any holiday or occasion as an excuse to eat oysters, ideally at a market stall whilst chatting with the shucker!
