The act of being focused is dualistic in nature but most people don’t see it this way. The keyword “**state**” emphasizes that the act can be executed in phases. Yes, at a bare minimum, it is important to lock in the moment but once you add the ability to move in and out of these states, one can learn to focus on multiple things. That being said, one would also need to be intentional with all paths of focus. Like the artist below, the goal should still be to hit a flow state where that focus is at a max but without that intentionality, it makes it that harder to tap in when you need it. ![](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/fcf168bff2ba6f39c0b690457f9bd34d.png) Playing devil’s advocate, however, we can understand that is not the best for everyone. Some are naturally incapable of achieving this level of focus and especially amongst today’s younger generation, the number of distractions fighting for that attention is at an all-time high. On top of that, it would also be fair to say that spreading yourself thin is also not always the best. That being said, it is ultimately best to know yourself. Lastly, on this topic, we wanted to conclude with the impact on friendships from the perspective of focus. Using the same details above, some do believe you should able to manage all at once but for some, it is also important to consider one’s capacity to do so **at a given moment**. One of my favorite things to do is to travel but I can’t travel all the time and if I’m not traveling, it doesn’t mean, I love it any less. This is the same for human relations. **Communication and Intentionality** help at these moments to ensure one another that you still matter in this time of a million distractions. ### **Between Space and Time** This week [**Async Art**](https://async.art/) launched their new feature known as Dynamic Blueprints and we took some time to explore. Async Art is an NFT Marketplace focused on providing creators with the ability to do programmable NFTs in a quick way. Some of their functions are the ability to change the image based on the time of the day. Dynamic Blueprint, their latest add-on allows one to mix and match the attributes of an NFT. This allows for collections to be extended with co-creation from their community Creators can create the source ERC-721 and Remixed versions by the fans/ community are ERC-1155 which contribute to the overall value. * How it works * Collectors mint a background * Artists can sell expansion packs * Collectors can pick add-ons from their purchased expansion pack to update the NFT * Both Creator and the community can create more expansion packs This level of co-creation is awesome because it’s a great on-ramp for starting conversations around a release. Allowing people to have their own variation that they created is a different relationship from the random assignment from a pool of 10000 options. I have some ideas on how I can use this but in the meantime, I wanted to share. ### **Aesthetics of the week** This week I received MidJourney’s first issue of their magazine and this week’s piece was selected from there.
