**Long Term Vision**

### **Weekly Random Acts of Evolution**

A lot of times in life, it is really easy for us to allow a single bad moment to capitalize our lives and send everything out of wack. For me, this happens too often in my head as I often feel like I am failing to get anywhere, especially in the world of relationships. The majority of my life’s projects are full of constant pivoting. This constant erasing of stability has made it difficult to appreciate the time it takes to build an actual bond but it is so easy for me to go deep down one rabbit hole and then immediately switch to another. Those short-term moments are part of a longer mission of my career but having that short-term mindset can rub off as I am always switching between so many things daily.

As a result, I have asked myself this week to start looking at things from a long-term mindset. Look at the big picture, the moments it took to get here, and the beauty of knowing that any pain you are feeling in that moment will pass. The key is the mindset and the power to keep moving as we discussed last week.

Below Gary Vee discusses this as well.

In summary, he highlights a similar point that we tend to get fixated on the moment and not see the progress that has been made from a bigger-picture standpoint. Multiply that progress by 2, 3, or 4, and just be excited to think about how much further you are going to grow in the future.

### **Between Space and Time**

This week we are going to look at a project that I got to experience this weekend. Here in Atlanta, the Marta public transportation system has been running a residency at the [**Fulton County Public Future Art Labs**](https://publicartfutureslab.com/) known as Artbound. The residency recipient this season is Sarah Lawrence. Below is the architecture of what they are planning.

One of the sample experiences can be tried [**here**](https://travel-tapestry.com/choose-your-language).

This swatch was generated from a survey result asking how I felt and a set of color selections. Bundled together, this could create something like this which could then be monetized.

Skylark is going to focus on accomplishing this and look towards lifting engagement.

Hope you are ready to go Larking!!

### **Aesthetics of the week**

This week’s Aesthetics is another example of what AI experiences could look like. This is not from us at Skylark but rather I went to an AI-driven party this weekend hosted by the [**Fulton County Public Future Art Labs**](https://publicartfutureslab.com/). Each station was AI-driven from the food selection to the created drinks. One of the stations was a photobooth print that uses your survey results on how you describe yourself to produce a result like the one below. I’m glad to see this in motion and validation of what we are building.

### **Chaotic Explorations**

This week, I came across this app below on Product Hunt that can be useful for generating opportunities for data collection via AI surveys, quizzes, etc.

* [**Meiro**](https://app.meiro.cc/) **-** Meiro provides an AI-powered builder for quizzes, tests & text games. The results can then be integrated downstream via Webhooks and other APIs

**“Long Term Vision” - Monroe**

“Having a long-term mindset can bring numerous benefits to your personal and professional life. Here are ten advantages of cultivating a long-term perspective:

1. **Increased Patience**: A long-term mindset encourages patience, helping you tolerate short-term setbacks and delays in pursuit of more substantial rewards.

2. **Better Decision-Making**: Long-term thinkers tend to make more rational and informed decisions because they consider the potential consequences over an extended period, reducing impulsive choices.

3. **Sustainable Goals**: Long-term thinking allows you to set and pursue sustainable goals, aligning your actions with your values and creating a more meaningful life.

4. **Resilience**: You become more resilient in the face of adversity, as a long-term perspective helps you see temporary setbacks as part of a larger journey.

5. **Financial Stability**: Planning for the long term often leads to better financial stability and security, as you save, invest, and make financial decisions with a future-oriented perspective.

6. **Improved Health**: Long-term thinking can translate into healthier lifestyle choices, such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, and stress management, leading to better overall well-being.

7. **Stronger Relationships**: It helps build and maintain deeper and more meaningful relationships, as you invest time and effort in nurturing connections with friends, family, and colleagues.

8. **Career Success**: A long-term mindset encourages skill development, continuous learning, and career planning, leading to greater professional success and job satisfaction.

9. **Innovation and Creativity**: Long-term thinking fosters innovation and creativity by allowing you to explore new ideas and experiment with different approaches over time.

10. **Legacy Building**: You can leave a lasting legacy by working towards long-term goals that contribute positively to your community, society, or the world at large.

In summary, a long-term mindset provides a solid foundation for achieving personal and professional success, maintaining well-being, and leaving a positive impact on both your life and the lives of others.”
