In the last month, McDonald’s launched their first automated McDonald’s in Fort Worth, Tx. Check out the following video of it in action and my reaction. In short, the world may be in for a shock if this turns out to make the food better. At the moment, there is a lot of controversy around the replacement of human workers. In addition, it would be hard to believe that a robot could make the food better but the deciding factor could come down to data. When machine learning is applied on top of data where McDonald’s has seen the most success, this consistency can be replicated across the board.
