**zkSync** is a secure layer 2 scaling solution built on Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge rollups to support fast transactions on its network while guaranteeing a high level of security.Solution 2 is discovered outside of Ethereum’s congested main discovery network, using the network’s security layer for potential verification only.

**Rollups** bundle computing resources and pool them together, saving time and money.**Zero knowledge** requires transactional confidentiality, masking the details of the growth without reducing the severity of the growth.

zkSync uses zero-knowledge rollups to improve the scalability of Ethereum, offering users **faster transactions** and **lower fees**. This is an ideal solution for exchanges, it has built-in NFT support and also supports smart contracts. In zkSync Era, apart from DEX, there are other projects such as Mint Square, an NFT marketplace.

**Matter Labs** (the parent company of the zkSync project) has raised more than $250 million in financial support through four funding rounds from renowned venture capitalists, including A16, Binance and Consensys.

About 4 years of development to launch the main zkSync network — Era. This marks the beginning of public access to the zkSync Layer 2 network, as well as the first publicly launched **zkEVM**. Join!
