# Bridging to Fantom 101

To set up the Fantom RPC on Metamask, enter the following:

*   Network Name: Fantom Opera
    
*   RPC Url: [https://rpcapi.fantom.network](https://rpcapi.fantom.network) (or [https://rpc.ftm.tools](https://rpc.ftm.tools))
    
*   ChainID: 250
    
*   Symbol: FTM
    
*   Block Explorer URL: [https://ftmscan.com](https://ftmscan.com)
    

You'll need [$FTM](https://twitter.com/search?q=%24FTM&src=cashtag_click) to pay for gas fees. To obtain some [$FTM](https://twitter.com/search?q=%24FTM&src=cashtag_click): 1. Head over to [@FantomFDN](https://twitter.com/FantomFDN)'s official discord and look for the server named "faucet" and follow the instructions or

2\. Buy [$FTM](https://twitter.com/search?q=%24FTM&src=cashtag_click) on [@FTX\_Official](https://twitter.com/FTX_Official) and send it to your Metamask address
